Jewellery is always a gift worth giving. You don’t have to worry about size, shape or fit. Jewellery is appropriate for everyone, from the smallest tot to your great granny. It is also appropriate for every occasion.

Online Learning Continues to Grow

Posted in General on Thursday, October 29th, 2009 at 11:43 by Sarah Evans.

A few years ago, online learning seemed to be less than desirable for many people and organisations. There were (and are) many companies advertising themselves as schools in order to get your money. They would sell diplomas or worse, offer courses that were not accredited or legitimate. All of that has changed.

More Kids Use Adults Car Insurance

Posted in Insurance on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009 at 11:00 by Sarah Evans.

It is a common practice for kids and young adults, often referred to as “kidults”, to stay on their parents’ insurance to get lower rates. That is not a problem for minors but it seems that the trend is for older kidults to take advantage of the system. The average maximum age of children using their parents’ insurance used to be 25 years of age. Many companies did this to give a break to university students. Now, that average has jumped to 31 years of age. I have a sneaking suspicion that not all of those offspring are going for their doctorates.

Loans – Blessing or Curse?

Posted in Debt, Loans on Tuesday, October 27th, 2009 at 11:44 by Sarah Evans.

Loans are one of those things that most of find necessary at one time or another, whether it is for a car, house, or other large expense. While there is certainly nothing wrong with taking out a loan, it pays to be smart about it.

Managing Money Through Online Banking

The end of the month is always difficult for me. Considering I get paid at the beginning of every month, I am typically busted by the 25th or so. I’m getting rather good at the budgeting aspect of my life but still have a long way to go.

Getting the Boot – Where to Buy Footwear

Posted in Shopping on Friday, October 23rd, 2009 at 10:25 by Sarah Evans.

Along with a winter jacket, I have to resign myself to the fact that I will also have to dig out my winter boots soon. I have more than one pair, of course, the all purpose mucking around in the mud and snow boots plus ones that are more appropriate for dressing up and going out. The former resemble combat boots, which I love. What could be more practical?

Saving Energy Means Saving Money

I do love this time of year. The only down side for me is that I hate to be cold. While it’s not freezing yet, it will be soon. The days of bare feet and no jackets will be put aside until next year. There is something to be said for snuggling under a nice thick blanket with a cup of tea.

Sports Betting

Sports Betting can be a great deal of fun. I’ve only ever done it a few times, on football and horses, mainly. But it was fun and I did win a few times. Not enough to retire on but enough to make me happy.

Finding the Right Gym for You

Posted in General, Shopping on Tuesday, October 20th, 2009 at 10:21 by Sarah Evans.

I just got back from the gym a little while ago. I hadn’t been there in a couple of months. Rather than beat myself up over the lack of activity, I decided that I just needed to go and work out some of the kinks in my body before I hit it hard tomorrow. At least that is the plan.

Online Gambling Legislation in the EU

Posted in General on Monday, October 19th, 2009 at 10:15 by Sarah Evans.

Today I read an article about gambling in the European Union. It was an interesting read and the opinions on how to handle online gambling and gambling operators. It seems that people the world over are interested in online gambling and for good reason. For the punter, it means not having to leave home. For the operator, it means that there is a lot of easy money to be had from those punters that want to remain in their flats with a pint and the hope of winning big.
