There are always certain things I wonder about. I like to know how things are made and installed particularly when they are somewhat unusual. In looking at Hillarys Blinds my curiosity was piqued when they showed a conservatory. I had never seen one that had blinds, only the ones that were left with uncovered glass. The conservatory blinds are gorgeous! The same goes with the retractable awnings. I used to see adverts for them when they first became popular and I always thought they were unattractive. Looking at the ones on this site I have changed my mind.

Diets and obesity are obsessions the world over. People, myself included, find it easy to become lazy and complacent. We devote too little time to exercise and eating properly, always thinking that something else is more important when that could not be farther from the truth. Without good health and a stable body, we have nothing. People that are unwell will tell you to take care of yourself now because if you don’t you will certainly regret it and it is not always possible to regain what was lost.
It is no secret that I love cooking shows. I’m not sure why really because I used to think they were incredibly dull. However, the new wave of reality cooking shows has changed my mind. In addition to the drama and action I learn how to make dishes that I would never be able to conceptualize let alone make. I watched a show last night with some interesting looking foods on the menu. I think what impressed me more were the gadgets the cooks used in the kitchen. I was taught to cook with pots, pans and basic utensils. These cooks have the latest in every type of kitchen appliance including blow torches, nitrogen tanks and special ovens. Although I don’t think I will ever rise to that level of cooking I do know where to get many of the items I see on these shows. If you want to outfit a kitchen properly, you need to go to Kitchen Science. You can mix and match large and small appliances plus practically anything else you might want to put into your kitchen. All at economical prices, of course! The site often has huge discounts and sales so you should be aware of what might you need in the near future.

Comet is one of those stores I like to go to when I know I want something special but have no idea what I want. It usually starts out as a place I go to look for gift items but then turns out that I find things for myself that I simply must have.

The only thing better than finding a new, inexpensive place to shop is finding a new inexpensive place to shop that has items for every member of the family. It is not common to find a site that offers fashionable and durable clothing for men, women, teens, boys, girls, and babies. The selection at Boden is grand and you can be sure to find something for everyone, including yourself!

Some people are just ridiculously stubborn, even when it comes to taking small steps to ensure one’s good health. I have a friend like that. (Actually, it’s more than one but today he is my target.) This friend came to visit recently and had a bit of a tiff with his spouse because he conveniently “forgot” to take a very important supplement. Instead of taking one or two doses per day, he may take it once a week – if he remembers. It drives us crazy particularly when his doctor told him that it was important to take this supplement because of some serious deficiencies. Of course he will not listen to us.

Isn’t it amazing that a tiny little baby needs so much stuff? There are nappies, bottles, a pram, cot, car seat, toys, and a million accessories that one seems to need to have a happy and healthy baby. I’m glad that adults don’t need as much or else I would have to find a new house with a lot more closet space
Men typically do not understand the obsession most women have with shoes. I can’t say that I understand it either even though I happen to suffer from that same affliction. There are things I have learned over the years that have changed the way I look at and shop for shoes.
There are many things I like to do in my spare time. It is a fairly common sight to see me at the gym or the pool, playing Scrabble or taking pictures in the park. One thing that is not on my list of favourite things to do is to shop for car insurance. In fact, I could think of only a few things I would rather do less. Except, perhaps, go to the dentist. I am so addicted to comparison shopping that I cannot imagine choosing a company out of thin air, looking at the price and then buying without even looking at other companies. Even the busiest person should check at least three companies to ensure he’s getting the best deal at the best price.
This time of year I really enjoy looking through photos of family and friends from seasons past. I just went through at least ten photo albums from the past 20+ years and had a great time with the old memories. In addition, a friend’s birthday was this past week so I decided to create a collage of friends and family including our many nights at the pub. I think I had more fun creating the collage than he did looking at it. The only problem with doing this type of thing, as much as I enjoy it, is sorting through old albums. These days I create everything in a digital format so it’s much easier to sort through them. My dilemma comes to sharing photos with people that aren’t technologically savvy.
