Today I was thinking about my car and how much I take it for granted. It is an older car but has been well taken care of and has served me well. Still, I often worry that something might happen while I am out on the road, such as an accident or issue with one of the car’s major components. I am not a worrier by nature in this area but once in a while, I do realize how important it is to keep up on such things.
I have not lived in my new flat for very long so I don’t know any of the local mechanics or related shops. I should look into that before something does happen and I am left scrambling for someone to help me in my hour of need. AA Breakdown Cover seems like a good place to start. And if I should need a towing service, I may as well give in to the fact that I would need a car hire service, such as Auto Europe as well.
Two main things I want to do with my car once the weather gets warmer is to replace the windscreen, which has many small scratches and chips in it from regular wear and tear. Places like Autoglass specialise in these things and are certainly more knowledgeable than I about how it all works. I would also like to get my car painted as it is showing the wear from being out in the sun too much.
