So what exactly does this level of breakdown cover entitle you to? Well if you breakdown at any time of day, on any day of the year, you will be located through GPS navigation systems quickly and most service providers quote an average time of 40 minutes to provide roadside assistance.
From this point the mechanic will try to fix your car at the roadside in order to get you on your way as quickly as possible. If your car can’t be repaired at the roadside then you’ll be towed you to an approved local garage free of charge.
Common Problems leading to a Breakdown Callout

Tyres
Make sure that your tyres are correctly inflated, especially if you are travelling long distances every week and if you are travelling at high speed. Poorly inflated tyres lead to sluggish handling, unresponsive braking and increased fuel consumption.
Checks that the tyre tread is above 1.6mm, if it isn’t then change it immediately otherwise it could lead to points on your licence and a greater chance of a flat tyre or blowout.
