With an alleged one million members, this opinion poll website is clearly very successful and the morning I visited the site, it was claimed that over 63,000 opinions had already been added that day onto Toluna. These opinions can be uploaded in two ways - either by ticking a box (or multiple boxes) in answer to a question, or by writing your opinion on a subject on the message board. These opinions are responses to questions asked by other members and relate to real life situations, moral issues, product surveys and much more.

The Toluna website has a simple, functional design and displays on the home page pictures of the most recently active members, and the most popular opinion pools. Each vote earns a different amount of points with some product surveys earning ten times the amount as a general poll, and the amount is clearly indicated. The service is fast and smooth, and after each vote Toluna calculates the new results and displays them in bar charts and percentages which give the site an interactive feel. The site is clearly updated regularly throughout the day, and the new polls and topics state how many minutes or hours ago they were uploaded.
